Hello, my name is Claire.
I'm a qualified integrated counsellor and I work predominantly with a relational, person-centred approach. I meet clients with compassion and understanding, providing a safe and confidential space to explore feelings, thoughts and behaviours. My practice is inclusive, respectful and trauma informed. I am an LGBTQ+ allied therapist.
Alongside my private practice, I have over fifteen years experience working in the voluntary sector, where I counsel individuals who have experienced domestic abuse and sexual violence. More recently, I have volunteered with a bereavement charity. I have a particular interest in women's issues.
I work on a one-to-one basis with adults in the Durham area. I also provide remote counselling, via telephone and on-line and have completed additional training to allow me to do so ethically.
I am a registered member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists and I adhere to their standards of good practice and Ethical Framework. I hold professional insurance, a clear DBS and I am registered under the Data Protection Act (1998) . I can provide flexible hours and concessionary rates are avail
